The concept was a culmination of Owner Cesare (Chez) Somma’s personal struggle with Celiac disease and his culinary passion to share nostalgic flavors of Italian desserts, gelato, sorbet, espresso, and more without compromising flavor. Everything is homemade with attention to gluten-safe ingredients. 

Using his baking experience and Gelato and Pastry Institute of New York degree, Cesare was determined to create a substitute. He started experimenting with gluten free ingredients and from there the rest is history. Chez lives by the motto his product is so good, you won't know it's 100% gluten free.
